Obituary of Elizabeth Bettin

Elizabeth Bettin, 1934-2022 (88years)

Born on January 27th, 1934, Elizabeth Bettin, nee Petrulis, aka "Granny Liz" and "G. Liz," left her earthly home on August 12, 2022, to play for the Heavenly Choir.  Born in Chicago, Illinois, Elizabeth grew up in historic and lovely LaGrange, IL.  After raising a family in Chicago, Elizabeth spent 30 years in Columbia, MO, and 10 in Clearwater, FL.  Elizabeth was the mother of 3, Aunt to 6, grandmother of 4, and great-grandmother of 3.  She played oboe, English horn, and piano.  She was also an author, artist, gardener, political activist, poet, and syndicated puzzle creator.  Playing her oboe instead of the ubiquitous harp, "Aunt Liz" joins the Heavenly host along with her brother (on bassoon), sister-in-law (on cello), and nephew (on drums).

A funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 5th, at Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Marilyn Street, Clearwater, FL.
