Obituary of Philip S. Meyer

Philip Meyer 89, passed away on July 23, 2020 after a long time illness. He was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. He served in the Korean War in the army division. In his early 30’s he bought a factory in New Jersey and produced “Crown Broilers” for many years. After retiring to Sarasota, Fl. he founded the reading and sunglass company 2020 Vision USA where he and his daughter Denise worked together. Philip has two daughters Linda and Denise, two grandchildren Michael and Rachael and a wonderful caring ex wife, Sonnie. Philip was loved by his many friends and relatives. He was known for his incredible and extremely funny sense of humor, his love of music, his down to earth personality, and his special gift of amazing generosity. He was full of unlimited love and warmth. He was and always will be truly one of a kind, a very "cool" man. His family meant the world to him and he was so proud of both his grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have been made at Sarasota National cemetery on Wed the 29th at 1:30 pm. He is greatly loved and will be missed by all (“Boychick”).The care of Mr. Meyer and his family has been entrusted to Hebrew Memorial Funeral Services, Sarasota/Manatee.
